Oxbridge Interview Training |
EnZo Consultancy offers preparatory interview training for Oxford and Cambridge undergraduate applicants conducted by former admissions interviewers. It is estimated that up to 40% of all recent applicants have received some form of training in order to prepare them for what is a difficult and involved process.
In contrast to others, EnZo Consultancy offers a bespoke service conducted exclusively by former tutors, and can tailor this to an individual, small group or school audience. This is suitable for those applying to read subjects in the Humanities, and Social Sciences, including PPE (Oxford) and SPS (Cambridge). Certain scientific subject areas can be catered for as well. Support throughout the application processEnZo Consultancy’s preparatory training is based on the following services:
(1) An assessment of submitted written work, and an evaluation of possible points of interest and discussion for interviewers. (2) Practical and editorial advice on the drafting and redrafting of an appropriate ‘Personal Statement’. (3) Seminar presentations explaining what Oxford and Cambridge admissions tutors are looking for, and training on how candidates should conduct and present themselves during interviews. (4) Two training admissions interviews, a ‘formal’ one based on the candidate’s academic abilities and intellectual curiosity, and an ‘informal’ one based on general background and interests. (5) Extensive feedback and, as we recommend, at least one additional set of interviews. (6) A general support service throughout the application process with regular consultations to provide advice and guidance. EnZo Consultancy believes that all candidates benefit from professional, candid and direct advice. Everyone will have particular strengths and weaknesses and our aim is to identify those and help shape a successful application. The interview preparation outlined here is also relevant for ‘Ivy League’ universities. |
