Copy-editing and Proofreading
EnZo Consultancy provides copy-editing and proofreading of humanities, social science and scientific essays, projects and dissertations at undergraduate, masters and doctoral level. Previous work has included an extensive amount of international collaboration with people writing in their second language. In addition, EnZo Consultancy has substantial experience in helping clients to prepare journal articles for international publication.
Copy-edited and proofread work will have been checked for spelling, punctuation, grammar, as well as general clarity of expression. Long or unclear sentences will be broken up, and consistent formatting of your work (paragraph headers, referencing, spacings) is ensured throughout. Matching individual deadlines is a key priority.
Work can be submitted via email, and the client will be sent two copies of their amended work. One copy will have been edited using Microsoft Word’s “track changes” feature, while the second copy is a plain version of the same edit and ready for presentation. As standard practice EnZo Consultancy double edits all material, i.e. the text is first edit and returned to the client with corrections and queries clearly marked, the client then processes the text and returns for a final edit. This ensures that the text is as complete and polished as possible and helps clients to get the best academic result they possibly can.
Access to a copy of whatever style requirements you are expected to observe (Harvard, MLA, Chicago, etc), is essential to ensuring that the finished text observes the correct conventions. Quotations can be provided for large projects on submission of a sample of your work, and large documents containing images, information panels, etc, can be sent and returned via “Dropbox” software.
EnZo Consultancy endeavours to ensure that the originality and contribution of your work is maintained. While your academic advisors are best suited to help you reshape and revise your work, where necessary the text can be carefully copy-edited to ensure its clarity, cohesion and quality of academic expression.
